The Lumsden Building located on the northeast corner of Yonge & Adelaide in downtown Toronto has been nominated for a Heritage Toronto Award.

Heritage Toronto has announced the nominees for its 51st annual Heritage Toronto Awards, celebrating half a century of work in preserving and interpreting the city’s history. The awards highlight contributions across Book, Public History, and Built Heritage categories.

For over 10 years, the de VRIES LITIGATION LLP offices have been in the Lumsden Building, which is being nominated for its façade rehabilitation. The property owner, Dream Unlimited, hired ERA Architects and HRI Group to renew an innovative manufactured cast stone façade on this mid-rise, 1909-built office building at Yonge and Adelaide in Downtown Toronto.  The manufactured cast stone façade was the first of its kind in City of Toronto.
