Tyler Lin is an associate at de VRIES LITIGATION LLP, where his practice focuses on complex estate, trust and capacity litigation.
Tyler completed his articles with the firm before being called to the Ontario Bar in June of 2021. He obtained his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School after completing an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy at York University.
Prior to joining the firm, Tyler gained a broad range of litigation experience through his work on insurance, securities, and human rights claims. He has also mediated small claims matters at the Superior Court of Justice, and worked at a large national firm in China in the area of international corporate law.
Tyler has presented for the Law Society of Ontario’s (LSO) Make-A-Will-Month initiative, and is a regular contributor to the popular blog, allaboutestates.ca. He has also written for the Ontario Bar Association’s newsletter for Estates and Trusts law, the legal newsletter Law Times, and the LSO’s Six-Minute Estate Lawyer and Annual Estates and Trusts Summit programs.
Tyler is fluent in mandarin Chinese.
